Handmade christmas #3

I started this present with just an apron in mind but it grew to be a whole little cooking set for each of my budding chef's. I can't wait to see them in action.

Handmade christmas #2 and how I did it

Memory Game

Materials:
PVA glue
3 inch mdf squares 3mm thick
Paintbrush
rotary cutter
cutting mat
fabric scraps
fat quarter of fine or no pattern backing fabric

Step 1
cover one side of the blocks with PVA

Step 2
Put the two blocks glue side down on the wrong side of some scrap fabric. Using your rotary cutter, trim off excess fabric.

Spread a layer of PVA over the top of the fabric.

Let them dry

Repeat step one on the other side of the block then place them on the wrong side of the fat quarter. Trim excess with rotary cutter. Lining them up makes it easier to trim.

Handmade christmas #1

Here is the almost finished dress for Mia, all that needs to be done is handstitching the lining in place and popping some covered snaps on the back opening. I used an opp shopped embroidered cot sheet in the skirt and it has a pettiskirt underneath to give it the puff factor. I also used a frifted 70's pattern which was really fun.
